　　几年来的办学实践证明，我们做得是比较好的，这首先体现在投资上。国内大学的办学资金凡是计划型的不是国家拨款就是银行贷款，凡是计划型的基本是靠收取学生学费不断滚动发展，用巨额投资办学的这在国内的确不多见，而我们就是这样做的，一下子将投资几亿元建起一座美丽的“大学城”。 这反映了办学者对大学教育的钟情。再一个就是我们对国内用人情况的熟悉和对大学教育现状的清醒认识，这一点是不容易做到的，因为这需要既对社会经济领域熟悉，也对高等教育了解。第三个就是我们的务实态度和有办好大学的许多办法。几年来我们的大学办得这么红红火火，其实限于客观条件的制约，许多办法并没有拿出来。今后我们会进一步用心用功，我们的大学将很快成为本地区的一流大学。同学们也要刻苦用功，在大学这个平台上使自己尽快成熟成才成人，为将来的成功奠定雄厚的学业基础。还是我说过的那句话，学院用心，同学们用功，用心加用功等于成功！

　　上大学拿文凭这是不言而喻的，因为目前的大学文凭的确是知识青年从事以智力为主的工作的有效凭证。既然文凭对于上大学的同学这么重要，那么拿什么样的文凭，这个文凭的价值与含金量如何就是至关重要的了。文凭的价值与含金量既是靠优秀的毕业生在社会上的成功来展现，也要靠大学母校认真用心地去做，一点一滴地积累品牌价值。就是学院通过内在的办学质量和外在的形象建设全面提升学院的品位等级，以使同学们未来的毕业文凭具有较高的含金量和显著的品牌价值。　　 

　　学院首先在办学质量上抓得比较紧，严格上课考勤和课堂纪律，严格考试管理，聘最好的教师，同时配小课辅导教师，与教师约谈，聘学科带头人负责学科建设，逐步地建系等等。

　　同时，学院也比较重视形象建设，搞了许多有声有色而且影响很大的活动。只有这样，学院的品位等级才能不断提升。

　　现在，终于轮到了我们。我们西大现代学院决不应这样开始自己的历程。人文追求也许还不是我们的最高目标，但我们应当从现在起就奠定起品牌大学的文化底蕴，以利今后向更高层次上提升。

　　我们应感念亲情，包括师情、友情、校情。我们还应学习伦理学知识，准确地给自己进行社会角色的定位。这是培育人文精神的起点，是我们学会从人己关系出发考虑问题的基础训练。人己关系中有理性成份，如权利、义务等，更有情感因素，如友善、爱心等。理性因素适于人己关系具有确定性状态时，比如有明确的定量定性标准，时空质量基本对称等；而情感因素往往适于在人己关系不具有确定性时，此时人己关系并没有明确的定量定性标准，时空质量也不对称等。这种情况下，遇事能自觉地从情感上考虑问题，我们对社会和人事的适应就会事半功倍。　　 

　　我们应尊重历史，包括个人的成长史、家族和组织的传承史、民族和国家的发展史等。这是培育人文精神的重点。尊重历史让我们产生“历史意识”，这非常重要。有了“历史意识”我们的思想就有了纵深感，考虑问题就会谨守前因后果的严密逻辑，就会意识到我们应以敬重之心承前，以负责态度启后。一个人由此便生成历史使命感和对生命不朽的体认。这直接塑造着我们成熟的人生观。历史就这样给我们以警示和激励，历史就如此使我们变得深刻而厚重。

　　我们应欣赏文学艺术，包括文学的、画画的、造型的、声乐的等等。这是培育人文精神的要点。文学艺术提升着我们的情商指数，让我们对任何人事进行真、善、美的价值判断，鼓励我们对事物做完美性的追求，而文学艺术的典型形象则直接给我们以多种启迪。这不仅能够改善我们的气质修养，改良我们的心理素质，而且也升华了我们的思想品位，使我们的心灵得以净化和美化，使我们的思想境界处于高位、保持高雅。

　　我们应学习哲学和宗教知识，包括思想哲学、历史哲学、科学哲学和儒、耶、释等。这是培育人文精神的难点和高点。难在其理解方面的深奥，高在其解决根本问题。有了哲学和宗教素养，我们对世界万物将有全面深刻的认识，将发现事物之间的内在联系，把握事物变化的根本规律，对任何事物都会追寻其意义，并作超越性思考。这时庄严、崇高、神圣感就产生出来，爱心、宽容、正义等意识随之形成。这种情况下，我们的成长将向着一个深刻而纯粹的人逼近。

　　我们还应学习心理学知识，对自己的心理状态做主动的调适，以有效地适应外界环境，积极地应对人己关系；我们还应训练社交礼仪，以方便与人交往，比较容易地融入社会，等等。

　　人文精神的培育要求我们在大学里营造一个浓郁的人文环境。这营造看似与专业学习关系不很密切，但却化成着科学意识，训练着综合素质，以整体上潜移默化着学子，使我们的同学在不知不觉中眼界变得宽广，胸怀趋于博大，心理发育成熟，人格臻于完善，既对物质世界有着理性的思考，又对精神追求抱持火热的激情。对人文精神的追求将成为我们西大现代学院品牌建设的重大议题，我们西大现代学院的学子们将会以一个大写的人而迈向成功！

　　Nowadays, diplomas it’s undoubted to get from the university after graduation , as it’s an effective certificate for the graduators to hunt a job related to intelligence. Though the diplomas are very important ,the kind and the value as well as the level of diploma are more important. The value and the level of the diploma are not only embodied in the great achievements by the excellent graduators, but also accumulated by Alma Mater step by step for its Fame Value. That is to say our college depends on the good quality inside and great figure outside to promote grade, to make the remarkable qualified diplomas, having the higher level and the fare value. Firstly, our college do well in the field of management.
